I had a late afternoon studio art class and rushed home to get ready to attend an important event that evening. I dropped my backpack in the dining room, quickly changed, and ran out the door. It rained like crazy when we were heading home. My turquoise shoes were soaked. I took them off as I entered the house and dropped them next to my backpack. My painting homework assignment that weekend was to paint something at home “as is” without rearranging anything in the composition. This dining room scene fit the requirements.
