I was fortunate to be able to use one of the painting studios in Foster Hall by myself during most of summer semester last year.  I often lost track of time while I was painting in such a special space. One day I noticed the sunlight begin to descend down the windowpanes.  In that moment, the corner of the studio was bathed in such rich colors, which glimmered like jewels in a treasure chest. Those enormous round studio windows are very special to many of us.  I can’t tell you how many times fellow students looked at this painting and said, “I love those windows.”
